About Us

The Kent Wind Soloists, one of the leading groups in the South East, was formed in 1990 by principal wind players of the Kent Sinfonia, the professional orchestra of Kent (link). This highly acclaimed ensemble is based on a wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon), and has the ability to expand to upwards of fifteen players, or contract to just two. Performances ranging from the 17th Century through to contemporary arrangements of Scott Joplin, Gershwin, the Beatles and many more show the versatility of the ensemble, be it in the traditional concert hall, marquee, or even open air.

Apart from its regular concert appearances ( please contact us directly for full details ), the group specialises in providing music for weddings and corporate events.

Weddings : A tailor made programme to suit your needs, be it just the ceremony, pre - reception drinks or the reception itself (we usually only perform up to the start of the speeches), or all of these.

Corporate Events: We offer a full programme of music designed to complement the occasion; our performance page shows how much work we have undertaken in this area.

In addition to performing, all of the members are active as teachers, resulting in the development of an extensive educational programme of demonstrations and workshops throughout Kent - please contact us directly for full information.
